Professor Paal is the editor of the „Writings on Media Law and Information Law” (“Schriften zum Medien- und Informationsrecht”) which are published by the Nomos Verlag.

The writings contain monographs and anthologies on current issues of Media Law and Information Law which are of special importance in the 21st century. They address intersectional as well as intra-disciplinary issues with multiple references to traditional subject matters within Private and Public Law – in particular regarding Commercial Law, International Law, and matters of basic scientific research. Especially, digitisation and current developments of media convergence pose significant challenges for the protection of personality rights and intellectual property rights, as well as for the general regulatory framework of our information society. The contributions to the series reflect the complexity of the respective subject matters and regulatory instruments. Moreover, they contribute to the advancement of Media Law and Information Law.

The writings are intended for all those who are looking for a well-founded scientific analysis of Media Law and Information Law topics as a basis for their own research and practice. Along with individuals active in science, administration, the judiciary, politics, the series is also directed to those who are active in associations, legal professions, interest groups, and media-, information-, or telecommunication companies.
