Germany's Learned Court.
About the Practice of the Lübeck High Court of Appeal
Tuesday, November 19, 2019, 6 p.m. c.t. in the lecture hall 2004 of the Collegium Building II of the University of Freiburg.
His research focuses on German legal history of the Middle Ages and early modern times (especially in the field of the history of court practice) as well as on source editions from modern court practice. Mr. Oestmann is co-editor of the Zeitschrift der Savigny-Stiftung für Rechtsgeschichte, the Zeitschrift für Historische Forschung and the publication series Quellen und Forschungen zur höchsten Gerichtsbarkeit im Alten Reich. He is one of the main contributors to the Cluster of Excellence "Religion and Politics in the Cultures of Premodern and Modern Times", a full member of the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences and Arts and a full member of the Historical Commission for Westphalia.
